There wasn't a listing for the store in Oakley, KS, so I chose this one. My review is based on my experience in Oakley. The meat is super fresh! Prices are great for a small town grocer. They're competitive with other smaller grocers in the area. Seems like everything on my list was on sale. Very friendly staff. Good personal small town atmosphere. The produce department really needs work though. The plums I bought were on their last leg, and there wasn't much variety in the way of fresh fruits and veggies at all. The bakery and deli has some really delicious stuff. My daughter just loved the elephant ears! The staff was incredibly helpful when loading up my groceries after I checked out, and helped me find a few items I wasn't able to locate on my own. They have a great selection of shelf stable items and dairy, and, like I said, the meat department is superb!
The manager is super nice and helpful! I love the small town feel of Heartland foods.
Love the meat department! Only buy meat here, best quality and selection on meat, prices overall are on the high side, but they do have some decent sales and a gas rewards program
